Ian Diness is an artist duo working at the intersection of art, architecture and play.

Through installations, spatial structures and public projects they explore how bodies move through space and imagination. The studio works with public art, festivals, cultural institutions and municipalities.

Death of the Serpent

An inflatable sculpture depicting a swan killing a snake, drawing on Greek mythology and Jungian symbolism. The work explores the tension between instinct and spirit, beauty and violence.

The Pirate Garden

A sculptural playground where storytelling, colour and form reshape a traditional play space into a landscape for exploration, movement and imaginative play.

Barium, Roskilde

A spatial installation created for Roskilde Festival, composed of a series of sculptural pavilions forming the outdoor area of Bar Barium. The project combines architecture, light and gathering spaces into a vibrant festival environment.

The Oystercatcher

A large suspended sculpture of an oystercatcher exploring the shifting boundary between land and water. The installation investigates surfaces, reflections and the meeting point between natural and human-made environments.

Electronic Spider

A monumental spider-like structure in steel and coloured plexiglass balancing between sculpture, architecture and machine. The installation creates a playful public space where light, movement and bodies interact.
