Barium was developed as a spatial framework for gathering and movement within the dense landscape of the Roskilde Festival. The project consists of a series of pavilion-like structures that together define the outdoor area of Bar Barium.
The repeating structures create both rhythm and orientation across the site, forming small zones for meeting, resting and social interaction. Their sculptural forms establish a distinct identity within the temporary architecture of the festival.
Through lightness of structure and repetition of form, the installation demonstrates how simple architectural elements can generate atmosphere and spatial coherence in large-scale public events.
